schaduw challenge van Eni Oken met patroon: Groovy#44

Groovy is een leuk "weef"patroon. Ik gebruikte de tangles: groovy, purk, feather en narwal. Aan het eind merkte ik dat de Zentangle een soort ananas was geworden. Dus de keus van schaduw met kleur of zwart was al gemaakt: kleuren bruin, geel en oranje. Nu is het een zia: Zentangle Inspirated Art.
Groovy is a fun "weave" pattern. I used the tangles: groovy, purk, feather and narwhal. I noticed at the end of drawing my tile, that it had become a kind of pineapple. So the choice of shading: color or black was made: shades with pencils  brown, yellow and orange.
The zentangle challenge ended up in a Zia: Zentangle Inspirated Art.

Duo pattern challenge from Anya Lotrop

This month challenge was to make a combination from Cuke and knot Rickz. I started with the Y-form on four sides and this came out. Thanks Anya for these patterns, had not used them before.

With:tantile, brown and black micron, white gelly roll pen and three  softcolorpencils blue from derwent. When finishing the tile I thougt: it looks a bit like a mill... maybe influenced by me being Dutch.;-)

Voor Valentijnsdag maakte mijn CZTcollega Marguerite Samama een hartenprompt. Enkele dagen voor 14 februari plaatste ik elke dag een ander tangle-hart. Een leuke activiteit, ik heb ervan genoten steeds weer uitgedaagd te worden met die prachtige tekentechniek van Zentangle.
For Valentine'sday made my CZT colleague Marguerite Samama a heart prompt. A few days before February 14,  I placed each day another tangle-heart. A fun activity I enjoyed again and again to be challenged with that wonderful Zentangle -Art.

Na het marmeren van de buttons tijdens onze Zentangledag bij Ellen Gozeling, was het thuis een feestje om deze te tanglen. Gelukkig heb ik nog meer lege buttons. Met al die nieuwe ideeën kan ik wel een tijdje vooruit. After the marble of the buttons during our Zentangle Day at Ellen Gozeling, it was wonderful to them.Luckily I have more blank buttons. With all the new ideas we learned I can forward a while.

techniek: ecoline blazen tijdens de Zentangledag bijEllen Gozeling.De kleuren blauw en groen liepen in elkaar over. Tijdens het tanglen zag ik er bosachtig tafereel in.Technique: ink blow during Zentangleday at Ellen Gozeling.De colors blue and green ran into each other. During TANGLEN it looked like a wooded scene.

Op 19 februari geef ik een workshop : tanglen op zwarte tiles. Voor de kerstdagen tekende ik veel op zwarte tiles met een witte gelly roll pen. Daardoor ben ik de zwarte tiles heel erg gaan waarderen. Deze zwarte tile is met kleurpotloden ingekleurd. ( de tangles zijn geïnspireerd op werk van Helen Williams) Inspired by Helen Williams, I used these tangles on a black tile and colored in with normal color pencils. I really liked doing this challenge: organic"

Hello again,
After some time (living three months without a computer..), I am happy to post again.
We moved to another place. We used to live in Middelburg, now I give workshops in Dongen, at the local creashop PeetersVerf or in my new home.
This is a  Zia (Zentangle Inspirated Art)  for Christmas on a black tile, with a white gellypen and some  glitterpens from Sakura. It is so much  fun tangling on a black tile. On the other picture you see me in my new Zentangle room.

Eindelijk kan ik zeggen dat ik terug ben op mijn blog. ( na drie maanden leven zonder de computer) In Dongen waar ik nu woon, geef ik workshops bij "Peeters Verf" en bij mij thuis. De Zia (Zentangle Inspirated Art) is getekend op een zwarte tile, met gelly roll pens from Sakura. Deze pennen zijn heerlijk om mee te werken én tekenen op een zwarte tile is net zo verslavend als tanglen op een witte tile. Op de andere foto zie je mij in  mijn nieuwe Zentanglekamer.

Erin  asked us to use one of her templates. 

This time a template with balls/pearls...  

Because of the big "pearls" I thought of  

"our Dutch button"and used it in the middle.  

tangles used: pearl, pollen (SB)         

Erin Olson ( Diva Dare) deelt templates op

 internet voor Zendala's. Deze template met 

veel ballen deed me denken aan de Zeeuwse Knop, 

waar de tangle "pearls" veel in zit.

Daarom een kleine Zeeuwse knop in het midden.

Weekly Challenge #229: "+/-"Poke Root only in the backround...

Sandy Hunter:"leave some negative (white) 
space for the eye to rest." 

Ruimte wit laten...mmm Poke Root had moeite
om op de achtergrond te blijven...maar deze mooie tangle 
is bescheiden gebleven.... met moeite, dat wel.

For Poke Root it was very difficult to show itselves  only in 
the background. But .... this nice tangle has managed to be modest!

My swinging dance in the circus: 
Lee wrote:"For my guest challenge, create a tile using the tangles cack by Adele and Bruno Tropicana by Kate Ahrens.Then just just like a 3 ring circus - chose from upkeep Florz, Linq by Lara Williams or Fescu to add a third element to your design".
A tanglefun challenge to do. With great pleasure I used these three (new to me) tangles: Cack, Tropicana and Linq. Tangles with "movement". Thank you Lee, I enjoyed the challenge and the "swinging"tangles.
Een swingende dans in het circus:
Lee Schreef:"Als gastdocente  voor deze challenge, maak een creatie met de volgende tangles:   using  Cack  van Adele Bruno en Tropicana van Kate Ahrens. Daarnaast kun je ter verfraaing nog een van de volgende drie tangles toevoegen:  Florz, Linq van Lara Williams of Fescu.

Een leuke uitdaging van Lee Darter. Met veel plezier gebruikte ik deze  drie (voor mij nieuwe)  tangles: Cack, Tropicana en Linq. Tangles met "beweging". Dank je wel Lee, ik heb genoten van deze challenge. deze drie  tangles laten je swingen. Yeah!

Challenge I am the diva; SIMPLICITY. 13 juli 2015

De challenge van deze week is gemaakt door gastblogger Kate Crommett (CZT).

Met gesloten ogen koos ik drie tangles uit het boek

Zentology van Maria Thomas en Rick Roberts.

Zonder string tekende ik de eerste gevonden 

tangle SNAIL, de tweede was RIXTY en als derde tangle TAGH. Ik constateerde dat ik drie tangles had gekozen met een zwart accent erin. Alledrie de tangles spraken me waarschijnlijk niet aan, want heb ze(nog) niet gebruikt in mijn werk. Dat is zo fijn aan een challenge, je gaat buiten je comfort zone en waardeert meer de andere tangles. Met dank aan Kate Crommett voor deze challenge.

The challenge this week is made by guest blogger Kate Crommett (CZT).
With eyes closed, I chose three tangles from
 the book Zentology from Maria Thomas and 
Rick Roberts. Without using a string I drew the 
first  tangle SNAIL, the second was RIXTYen third tangle TAGH. I found out that I had chosen radomly three tangles with a black accent in it. All three tangles I have not used ( yet)  in my work. This is so nice about challenges, you're going to appreciate beyond your comfortzone and "discover" other tangles. Thanks to  Kate Crommett for this challenge.

Een challenge van:Square one, purely Zentangle:
 Tangle FINERY
Door de lijnen op een bepaalde manier te tekenen
 ontstaat er een soort "bolvormig" effect.
De schaduw accentueert dat nog extra.
Naast Finery zijn de tangles Mooka
en Crescent Moon getekend.
A challenge by: Square One, Purely Zentangle:
Tangle finery
By the lines in a certain way to draw creates 
a kind of "spherical" effect. Besides Finery 
I used the tangles Mooka and Crescent Moon for this challenge.

Weekly Challenge: I am the Diva : gebruik rood en blauw

For me this was a real challenge. I rarely use colors. Thanks Jen, I enjoyed the challenge made on a prestrung zendala tile with crayons, micronpen and identy pen in the colors red en blue. Het was een leuke challenge om te doen: kleuren rood en blauw gebruiken . Ik gebruik niet zo vaak kleuren, ga het nu zeker en vast meer doen,  ( een kwestie van "durven?") Deze challenge is getekend op  een prestrung zendala tile

Na het tekenen van Munchin, was er in het
 midden een open ruimte.
Dan zijn er zoveel tangles waar je uit kunt kiezen om erin te tekenen.
Shattuck won deze keer.
After drawing Munchin,
 there was an open space in the middle.
Then there are so many tangles
where you can choose to draw it.
Shattuck won this time.
